About Laurel

Laurel Smith brings to Transformation Capital over a decade of experience working in the Private Equity industry. She joined the Firm at its inception and has been instrumental in its growth. She is primarily responsible for overseeing LP activity, investor relations and fundraising operations.  Laurel’s role with the Firm has grown from her initial responsibilities which included providing executive support and overseeing the day-to-day administration of the firm, including support for the firm’s HR and marketing and communications activities. Previously, she served as an Executive Assistant at Advent International, a global private equity firm. Prior to Advent, Laurel was an Executive Assistant at Stonegate Group, a real estate development, management and leasing company.

Laurel graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

In her spare time, Laurel spends her days chasing after her 3 children. She also enjoys music, travel, volleyball, and skiing, none of which she gets much time to do anymore.
